What is a health bite?

 

From foods that hold special value and are forgotten in our current diet to nutrition advice, mental health goodies, and fitness advice. Health bites include all that helps to keep your body balanced and moving.

How do you work at Health Bites Nutrition?

 

Every body is different, and so is every person. Based on the basics of intuitive eating combined with nutrition education, we aim to empower you to make the right choices for a change that lasts – one bite at a time. Both nurturing and sports are important.

Breaking old habits and forming new routines, with the help of health bites, we aim to guide you on your transformation.

Will you only look at my diet?

 

Generally, we will consider both being active and your nutrition because the one doesn’t go without the other.

Who are you?

 

We are a team of dedicated nutritionistas and foodies. Foodies?! Wait, I thought we would have a strict regime of XYZ calories and that amount of activity to meet every day. Maybe yes. But only if required. We are all human beings, and we all have our strengths and flaws. Sometimes, change doesn’t come cheap but easy.

About the founder

 

Hi, my name is Oriana, and I’ve been a passionate nutritionista since 2008. However, a science-backed nutrionista as I hold a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in Biology, specialising in Biochemistry. 

Nutrition has become a mandatory class in my life, as my body and mind require me to have healthy everyday routines. Back at that time, when the nutrition mindset peaked in fat is bad and size zero was the new body normal, good science-backed advice was minimal, especially for people who put on weight more easily than they could ever get rid of. PCOS was just on the verge of becoming known, and so was everything that came along. 

Growing up in a very sportive and thin environment, I basically did and pursued everything and every nutrition advice to fit in the category of a normal size: no, not size zero, I was aware that I would never ever reach that, but at least until people would no longer call me fat or chubby.

 

Today, I am a proud science geek with a real passion for nutrition, always on the verge of the latest trends and how they do or do not benefit our physique goals. I have grown up, and I am aware that every body is different and that changing one’s physique is not always the best choice.

I learned about healthy, balanced plates and mindful living. I studied Chinese medicine, but especially Ayurveda and Yoga, intensively and realised that there are as many bodies as there are people and that there are certain health bites that guide those seeking change.
